Seven Months

Olena is our child that is ahead of the curve. Do you see what I see? Four teeth! Two on top and two on bottom. With only a little disturbance to her sleep, the teeth suddenly appeared one day. I am less anxious to continue nursing as she is a biter. She is also sporting a very interesting hair-do. Most of her original hair has disappeared except for a flock in the front that looks a bit like a hairpiece. I was nervous to attempt cutting it though because she is so wiggly. But, when my mom showed up in December, her scissors were out almost immediately. With a few snips, she looked quite a bit better. She is truly a joy to have around, especially because she is now saying ma-ma regularly! Since learning to crawl, she has also picked up some fine motor skills and her oral curiosity knows no bounds. Everything goes straight to the mouth. This unfortunately causes the gag reflex to be often employed. She circles the house each morning looking for interesting toys and tidbits. I sweep A LOT!
