Besides the big meal and the great Black Friday deals (I grabbed Cherin for “Black Thursday deals”), the highlight of the week was our family “Beat’Em Stephen.” We had a lot of people attend--friends and neighbors! I think we had about 70 runners, plus some observers. We were blessed with great running weather and everyone was able to enjoy a morning run and social. We even took up a collection for Acenda! Cherin was amazing and came in first place for women with a stunning time somewhere in the low 23 minute range. Stephen kept to tradition and came in third place!! It is a little ironic that he lost to someone he had beaten at Dorothy’s Dash two weeks previous—too much turkey (or possibly pie)!
