Our School Projects

One of the joys of sending your kiddos to school is seeing what delightful creations they bring home in their backpacks. For instance, Ella brought home a picture of Stephen and I identifying us as her heroes (because we use our money to pay for things and use our time to take her places). It was a darling little tribute. Sometimes, instead of a completed project, we also have the joy of creating a project with our kids. Our last assignment (for both girls) was to decorate a turkey. Kayla was supposed to "disguise" her turkey so that he would not be eaten. To be honest, I'm quite proud of the job we did on this turkey. He is definitely not recognizable. I wish I would have taken the before picture. The mini Christmas tree you see above is actually a disguised turkey. I think my favorite feature was the pop-up eye covered by the star at the top of the tree. Pretty clever (even if I do say so myself).
