It was inevitable...

I have been waiting to hear these words from my 2-year-old's mouth for some time now: "I want to be a princess." Luckily, I had a box of dress-up clothes just waiting to be put into action. Check out a day in the life of "Princess Ella."

Princesses love to pose for pictures.

Princesses also love to change costumes regularly (preferably every 5 minutes).

Princesses like to have friends over for playdates.

Sometimes, a princess gets to hold a tea party.

Princesses like to be in charge of pouring the tea. In fact, princesses like to be in charge of most things.

Finally, sometimes the princess is so tired from a fun day that she crashes on a chair in exhaustion, proving once again that even princesses need naps!

FUNNY STORY:
I should probably mention that Ella seems to have found her new love for princesses from the PBS show, "Super Why." She's fallen in love with Princess Presto. And who wouldn't, she is super cute and super smart. At one point during our day, I heard Ella jabbering something like, "Kayla...spelling...power," while pointing at Kayla with her magic wand. I originally thought she was trying to cast a spell on Kayla. But, after thinking about the show, "Super Why," I finally realized that she was trying to spell the word, "Kayla." Don't you just love PBS!!

I love the picture of Ella totally crashed, so sweet. You've totally got the princess thing down :) Anna also loves Super Why and I'm totally surprised at the stuff she's picked up from it. And we think of and miss you every time we go and do a fun outing. We went to Chuck E Cheese last week and Anna kept asking of Ella and Luke were going to be there. We definitely miss you!

I just love the princess stage. Katie was obsessed with princesses at about Ella's age too. I miss that - I must still be a princess at heart. I'm glad you were ready with such cute dress-ups. Ella is a doll. The sleeping pjs picture is too cute.

oh yes...the princess phase! Kayla will catch on quickly I'm sure. Then you'll have royalty!! By the way, I never told you what a great job you did with Stephens birthday!! I wish I could have seen all of the posters.

Aren't girls the best. Seriously what is it with little girls and princesses, Kallie is obsessed too. We've never seen that show on PBS, maybe we'll have to check it out, it sounds educational. Nothing is better than an educational TV show for kids, at least they're getting something out it. PS your girls are adorable, our girls need to meet sometime, I think they'd be good friends.

I have that box waiting too for the day when our Ella decides she wants to be a princess. For now she just prefers to wear around her princess shoes. That's so funny that she just crashed on the chair like that.

Welcome to the world of princesses. It really is a magical place to be for little girls and has all sorts of benefits for Mom, too. We used to get Sage to do anything by telling her "That's what a princess does." Go potty, use a fork, say please...it worked every time. And now Faith will do almost anything to wear a princess dress.
