It's Christmas!


Because of travel (and added cost of luggage), we decided to write Santa and ask him to bring Christmas to us early. So we welcomed Christmas on December 12th. (The kids were thrilled; mommy has mixed opinions!) I wanted to share with you some of our highlights from this wonderful holiday!


What tradition does Stephen always groan about, but secretly loves?
a. Christmas dinner-ham, potatoes, martinelli, etc.
b. Our trip to see "A Christmas Carol"
c. Decorating Christmas cookies (he did groan a little when he saw all of the stuff Ella topped hers with!)
d. Feeding the reindeers.
e. Preparing a plate for Santa.
f. Reading a Christmas bedtime tale.
g. Ringing the bells to Christmas carols.

ANSWER: G-Ringing the bells!


We open up new Christmas pjs as part of our tradition every Christmas Eve. How many pictures did Lauren take of the girls in their new red pajamas?
a. 4
b. 7
c. 12
d. over twenty

ANSWER- D!!

When asked later what Ella's favorite gift was, did she say...
a. her new bike
b. her new Leapster game
c. the new red wagon
d. the new Princess and the Frog barbie doll
e. the box of Lucky Charms

ANSWER: E--Lucky Charms it is!!! AND KAYLA AGREED!!


Kayla found herself on the naughty list by putting what substance on the carpet???
a. leaving legos all over the floor to be stepped on
b. dropping fruity cheerios everywhere
c. undoing an ornament full of the fake snow and glitter
d. painting her own toe nails on the carpet
e. all of the above

ANSWER: E--Although Mommy only lost it after item D. (And yes, I was able to get it out. Another two hours of my life that I'll never see again though.)

How many pictures of Dessie were taken during the whole event?
a. 1
b. 3
c. 10

ANSWER: B--It's hard to snap many great shots when she slept through most of the event!! Needless to say, she was thrilled with all of her gifts, but loved the wrapping paper most of all.

You are a genius! What a great idea to do that and not have to haul all the presents back and forth. Coming from someone who just lugged it all across the border, you are SO smart to have had Santa come early! It looks like a fantastic Christmas and how lucky you guys get to do it all again! I also love the way you wrote the post, and that Dessie got in it too. We miss Blaine all the time because he's sleeping... or just still in his car seat. Poor kid!

Merry Christmas Reber family! We sure love and miss you guys. Have so much fun on your trip!
