We continued our three-day weekend of fun by planning a trip to the zoo on Monday. The weather was warming up and the February zoo prices are very low. When we got there just after opening and had to satellite park, it was clear that there were LOTS of others who had the same idea to capitalize on the nice day off with a trip to the zoo, but the girls didn’t mind. We saw all of our favorite animals. Ella loved the koalas; Kayla loved the giraffes; Dessie loved the cheetah; Olena had no idea what was going on, but she enjoyed my lion sounds when we approached their habitat; I loved the monkeys. There were a couple of monkeys that were playfully fighting with each other and it reminded me of the gaggle of girls I had with me. We had an awesome picnic lunch together and then we traveled home.
