Ivins

In the space of a week, I have been in three different states: California, Arizona and Utah.  We finally made it to St. George on Friday just in time to see Mindy's play.  It was amazing, practically perfect in every way.  The newspapers gave her rave reviews too:

"If you are a serious fan of the Mary Poppins story and really, really, really, like the songs and dances, you will enjoy this production. It's crisp, colorful and well done. Mindy Smoot Robbins is pretty, polished and every inch the perfect British nanny who brooks no nonsense but, at the same time, is completely without rules or explanation. She sings well and never lets on that it might be unnerving to be flying so high above the stage — umbrella at the ready — for much of the show. Mindy Smoot Robbins offered everything you want in a Mary Poppins: a wonderful voice, a strong stage presence and the ability to pull off big production numbers "in a most unusual way."  It’s a story with a heart, a soul and something to say."

Mindy has such an awe-inspiring voice coupled with great stage presence and Tuacahn had some surprising and pretty cool stage effects.  My girls loved it (although it went way too late)!  We didn't get home until 12:15!  Then poor Olena had SUCH a bad day on Saturday.  She had a cold all week and then coupled with all of the travel (she's already been to or through six states in her short eight weeks of life), she was truly wired up.  I couldn't calm her down all day Saturday.  It was such odd behavior for her that I ended up at urgent care on Saturday night thinking it could possibly be an earache.  Her ears ended up being perfect...and she was merely diagnosed with an URI (upper respiratory infection--short for the common cold).  It was supremely unhelpful.  Anyway, she was fine all day Sunday, so I assume whatever was really bothering her cleared up.
