Dessie officially turned four in May and I realized that she had never had an official birthday party. I really wanted her to have the gift of an awesome party surrounded by her friends. Thanks to Grandma’s arrival, I had the energy to consider it. We decided to go with a “water” theme and pulled out the blow-ups and the slip-in-slide. The kids arrived in their swim gear (on an unfortunately brisk June morning) and enjoyed the pool, bubbles, and of course, lots of food! We served a hot dog lunch with snow cones, cake and ice cream. Dessie had a great time being the center of attention. We are so grateful she has so many cute friends to enjoy her big day! Dessie said later that the highlight was “eating my crazy cake that Grandma did.”
