Dessie is growing like the weeds in my mum garden. At her last well check-up, the doctor measured her and then confirmed what I already knew must be true: she is off the charts in the height category. The doctor speculated (according to some mathematical premises) that Dessie could be 6'1''!! When I told Stephen, I could see the wheels turning. "Let's get her enrolled in basketball early then." I think he now dreams of athletic scholarships.
I love how my kids grow and change. It does make me a little sad though. Dessie is growing so fast. She fits in Kayla's size 4 jeans and they wear the same size shoes! I just went through everyone's clothes and moved all three girls up a size. I hate doing that and it always seems like the time comes back around far too soon. C'est la vie! Here are some pics of Dessie's first hair cut. Her hair has been growing in unevenly and my Mom informed me she looked funny--the "wings" were too long, she looked like she might fly away. The haircut does make her seem younger again! I'll take it.
