Spring Break!

I've received three email messages from siblings asking me to update my blog...I guess it's time! The girls and I took advantage of my time away from piano teaching during spring break to head to Houston to visit Annie and Doug, and Uncle Ben, who was also visiting. I took the girls to their first rodeo. Ella was entranced with all of the action. At one point though, she did wonder: "Where are all the girls, mommy?" She was right, there are an awful lot of cowboys and not many cowgirls. I told her that she could be a cowgirl someday---I think she is considering it! Then the kids oohed and aahed their way through the stadium full of animals. Most of the animals you could walk right up to and pet...they loved that!

Then we were lucky enough to have Uncle Ben join us in Dallas for a couple of days. I was thrilled that we finally had someone who 'wanted' to take the girls on all of the indoor play place equipment. Hooray for Uncle Ben. My girls are serious fans. After Ben left, Ella said to me, "We should make Ben a special picture to thank him for coming."



We realized that we had not yet made a family outing to the Dallas temple yet, so we decided to take a special Family Friday night date and visit the grounds.




Finally, I took the girls and Stephen to their first circus experience ever. Ella's highlight was definitely the hula-hoopers who could juggle sometimes 20 hoops at once! I was enthralled with the elephants. We're glad we got to share this experience with friends too!
