After a tragic accident involving a burner that wasn't supposed to be on and too many things happening at once in the kitchen, I must now say good-bye to my mixing bowl-- a lovely wedding gift from Stephen's grandparents. It's been with me for nearly six years now. It didn't deserve such a bad ending. Good-bye lovely Bosch mixing bowl-we will miss you.

I am so sad for you and bosch! I would go crazy without mine, and unfortunately it is on it's last leg. Also, I love the book you're reading. It's one of my favorites!
I love Bosch mixers...I wanted my mom's but somehow my sister in law got it...??!! Anyway, so sorry about your bowl. I've done that before with the butter but it was much cheaper to replace.
p.s. It really is true about groceries. I bought one lemon the other day and it was $2.12!! ONE lemon! WHAT??!! And then on the way home I filled up my car = $71 buck-a-roos!! I don't know which one I was more upset about, the lemon or the gas.
That is so terrible!
And..
I thought of you the whole time I was in San Fran. That picture of your cute family by the golden gate bridge.
Sad.
Oh no! That is so sad about the loss of your bosch! I love your post about it though :)
And I totally thought of you when we were at the Gilbert Cafe Rio :) I only wish we were there at the same time!! We went on the holiday weekend so Christian had an extra day that wasn't PTO since we have so many required attendance family events this summer ;) Yes, let's try and coordinate that someday for sure! I'm trying to figure out St. George, I still think it might work and I can't even tell you how happy it would make me to get to hang out with you again. Anna would be beside herself to see Ella again too :) I'm working on it!
groceries are crazy right now, you are soo right! Your memorial day weekend looks fun!
Sad day for the bosch. It served you well. Looks like fun at the lake!
Very cleverly written post. So sorry to hear about your bowl though.
Oh!! I would have been so mad!! I have a Kitchenaid and I'm sure you feel the same way about your Bosch as I do mine.
sorry about your mixer. and i haven't been paying attention to the price of groceries too much. we've been on food stamps for so long and have had plenty each month, that i don't really number crunch. although i still do buy the specials and use coupons. but i still buy my organic produce, which i'm not giving up. i'll sacrifice my clothing budget if i have to. looks like i'm going to have to start looking for more coupons!
I just had an accident with a burner the other day too- so sad when you burn up your nice plastic things!
I love boating!! I'm so jealous you got to go over Memorial Day weekend- sounds like tons of fun!
Next time you need a Bosch part call me. Shane's mom is the distributor for Southern Oregon. It may have made your rolls a bit cheaper.
Sorry to hear about your Bosch bowl...ouch. They are expensive to replace.
Oh SAD! That really makes me want to cry about your bosch. They need to get metal bowls right. I totally agree with you on groceries girly.
Ohhhh...I will miss having that mixing bowl next door.
Another casualty of culinary warfare eh? Sounds like it died in the service of God and kitchen. Not a bad way to go!
