Maybe I'm feeling nostalgic this week because my baby is three years old today! One second she was a screaming "vibrant" baby and now she's a crazy, fun-loving, sometimes obedient, always vivacious toddler. Where does the time go?

If there was one thing I was sure about after we had Ella's "family party," it was that she is a much-loved little kid! Even her parents can't help but spoil her...I'm thinking I may have to carefully reallocate some of these presents for a later time :)
Also, I can't remember if I have ever shared one of my favorite continuing family traditions before, but I'll share it again. My parents made a "the story of your birth" movie before each of their children were born. These movies were usually faciscious anecdotes where somehow my dad played the dope while my mom had to heroically get herself to the hospital. For example, in my "birth movie," my dad is so tired that he drives to the hospital without my mom in the car. My mom then walks to the hospital and there is a shot of my dad asleep at the wheel of our car in the hospital parking lot. Classic :) We watch these movies (they're all on slides) every time our birthday rolls around and we have continued the tradition! Ella loves watching herself on film, so I can tell this will be a tradition that sticks around for a while :)

Happy Birthday Ella! A little treat should be arriving soon in the mail, we also could not resist the spoiling :) I was totally lame though and didn't get around to mailing it until Ella's birthday. I really can't believe Ella is 3! I still remember eating at - I can't even remember the name of the place right there on Mt Diablo in WC, sort of kiddy corner Cost Plus World Markets - we had a girls night out and I remember being shocked that your due date was in a matter of days! You were so tiny for 9 months of pregnancy! Give Ella a big Happy Birthday hug!!
Also, although we're not going to be in TX for the summer, Ben continues to talk about becoming Texans after school. We'll see...
Also, can you believe Caleb is going to be 2 the end of this month??
