'A Mommy' or 'A Daddy!'

Kayla is about 18 months old and she's starting to make preferences known. So, this is the question running through our heads now: "Is Kayla a mommy's girl or a daddy's girl."

She's got Mommy's curls and loves to have her hair done...that must give me some points.

Then again, Daddy makes a much better cushion.

Plus, she absolutely LOVES to wear hats, and Daddy's hats get extra smiles.

However, she does have quite the shoe fetish, which is clearly inherited from me!

So what do you guys think? Am I winning!

I caught Stephen allowing Kayla to fall asleep on his chest the other day, so I think he might be lobbying for this coveted position. Ella has always been a very clear candidate for "mommy's girl," so I think he's been trying to edge me out of Kayla's affections lately. Of course, he's fighting with the "keeper of the candy stash," which just may pull me through in the end.

Dotty is definately a daddy's girl. She will only let him rock her to sleep and definately has his innate love of music. I can totally see them both making fun of me for my conformist musical taste.
But...I did take her shoe shopping today and she LOVED it...liked trying them on, playing with them. So I think we both have a big thing there.

Taylor is a daddy's girl and sometimes it is good, at the end of the day when I am tired and she wants her dad I just say, Kyle she only wants you, you HAVE to take her. But when she has said daddy a million times and it is noon, I wish she liked me more.

this post made me laugh..you're so witty.

My girls go back and forth but as I see it they know that daddy is the fun one. I'm assuming it's because he's gone all day so the three hours he's home before they go to bed is all fun and play. I am the one that puts you in time out but also the one they come to when they get hurt or who they want to cuddle with when they are sick.

I will admit however, I wish there were days when my girls were "daddy's girls" so that I could have a cling-free day! :)

Kayla has so much hair! It is so cute, I love the curls. I can hardly wait for Katie's hair to be long enough to do something with. And Katie is such a daddy's girl! It's kind of surprising to me since Anna is definitely a mommy's girl, but Katie looks out the window and stands at the door asking about daddy, and when she's hurt, sick or tired she totally prefers him. In some ways I love it, and in others I'm thinking I might have to try the candy! haha. I also love Kayla's grin wearing Stephen's hat, too cute.

We also need to throw in the possibility of her being a Shauna's girl!

The treats will always pull through for you! ...especially if she is anything like her sister. :)

Tough call! My kids seem to go back and forth between us. Usually whoever will give in to what they want at the time.

I really hope some of those darling curls pull through the genes when we get a girl. I think is is important that Daddy's get their share of love. (Even though we know who they really love more!)
