E.L.L.A.

Do you see what I see?

This week I had the strong realization that my baby Ella is no longer my baby. She was coloring pictures for the grandparents this week and told me she wanted to sign her name. I helped her the first few times, and then all of the sudden, like riding the bike with no training wheels, she started writing her name by herself. Another milestone passed in a blink of an eye. While I have always been a big fan of Ella's abstract drawings, it is nice to see something recognizable. And plus, she's earned me big bragging rights. She's a pretty impressive 2-yr-old!

Kayla also reached a big milestone this week, the advent of the "princess shoes." That's right, she clip-clops around the house with one princess shoe over her regular shoe every day now! It's quite the balancing act:)

I'm very impressed, writing your name @ 2, thats big time. Kallie isn't even close to writing her name, so way to go Ella!

That little Ella is a smart cookie. Unbelievable! And don't you love our little girls getting into all the girlie princess stuff? Christina has been wearing beads and bracelets all week, carrying a purse. She and Kayla need a princess play date soon.

Wow Ella! That's so impressive, and so cute that she wanted to write her name. And I love Kayla clip clopping around the house in the princess shoes, her grin in the picture is adorable! That is also one of Katie's most favorite things. I think these two would also get along amazingly well. Someday we will have a playdate! :)

I am still very impressed with the name writing - if you could start working with Macy - that would be great!

Those two are sure growing up. From pitter-patter to clip-clops, little girls don't stay little for too long.

That is so cool that she can write her name. At least we picked a pretty easy one for them. When Ella pretends to write her name, she always says it's spelled Ela. For some reason she wants to leave out one l. Go Kayla in the princess shoes too. Learning how to walk in high heels at such an early age :)
