In Like a Lion...

(Ella making her first snowman.)

Well, I thought I understood Texas weather to be hot and humid, little did I know that this description really only applies to the summer months. Otherwise, the weather here is moody and volatile. I think "Mother Nature" is probably an appropriate governess for Texas weather. Case in point:

Saturday. Blowing bubbles at the park in 70 degree weather.
Sunday. Wearing spring dresses to church. It's raining, but the air is warm.
Monday. Try to play in the puddles, but the wind is so chilly we go inside after 5 minutes. It snows Monday night.
Tuesday. We play in the snow. Sunny, but chilly.
Wednesday. Snow is gone. It's sunny and we are wearing short sleeves.
Thursday. Begins to snow again and snows most of the day!!
Friday...It'll probably be sunny and warm again!!

Crazy huh and it's been up and down like this all year long!! I guess though we do have the benefit of some warm, spring days right in the middle of the winter. Although, this whole up and down thing makes wardrobe decisions very difficult.

(Poor ducks who were "swimming" in our snow pool front yard.)

Right about now I would love some volatility in our weather! We did, however, have a relatively decent day today. Yea for that! Looks like fun...hope you guys are doing great!

What a fun day. I just blogged about our snowy afternoon too. I love that little Kayla grin. Did her boot come off in the picture? Cute. How great to have ducks visiting your yard too.

Wow that is crazy! I remember even when we were visiting it was sweaters one day and so hot the next! It at least made for very cute pictures of the girls!

I never knew TX weather was so crazy! I wish we at least had more warm days thrown in with all of our snow. I am so over winter. When will it stop!!

Wow!! I had no idea that Texas gets snow!! I'm blown away by that. Not just a little snow either!! Holy Cow. What a fun place to live - do the schools close when it snows like that?
