Lately, Kayla and Dessie have really struggled to clean up their own messes. It seems as if I will assign the girls to clean up a mess and Ella ends up doing the whole thing. So one day, Ella was at a friend's house and I informed Kayla and Dessie that they had 5 minutes to clean up their Polly Pocket mess or else everything left out would be taken away to the thrift store. After several warnings, they had not picked up a thing and true to my promise, all of the Pollies are in the thrift store pile. Dessie looked at me and with her toughest glare said: “You're not my best friend anymore.” Pretty funny. I do hope it makes a difference for those two. They really do need to start pulling their weight around here. It's not fair to Ella at all.
