Donald Elementary School had an open house where we toured their classrooms and viewed all of their artwork. At one point, Kayla showed me the iPad lab and I couldn’t believe how well she knew how to use it! Our school received a grant to send home every kid with an iPad next year. (Not sure how happy we are about that!) I feel like change is in the air. I may have to learn some usage tips and techniques from my first-grader! Anyway, the open house was a great reminder of how lucky we’ve been this year. Ella’s teacher, Mrs. DeFelice, and Kayla’s teacher, Mrs. Redden, are true gems. They are so loving and kind. Ella and Kayla are eager to learn and seem especially intent on pleasing their teachers. We struck gold!! In fact, Kayla made an observation one day about her teacher. She said that she heard one teacher yelling at her students and observed, “Mrs. Redden never yells. Mrs. Redden is sweet; that other teacher must be sour.”
