We "heart" UT

For the next section of our journey, my mom stopped by St. George to pick us up on the way to Provo. We spent a day in St. George finishing the fittings for my girl's weddings dresses and enjoyed hiking in the red mountains. Then we drove straight to Provo and stayed at Grandma Lewis's home. Provo is great! We spent a morning at the Wilk enjoying bowling, chocolate covered cinnamon bears and chocolate-mint brownies. It was also a great time to gather for Paige's baby shower and Taryn's wedding shower. I'm glad we had those occasions to gather us all together. We love our extended family!

I took my girls and Doug and Annie took their boys on a hike up the Y. I am proud to say that even Rhett and Dessie made it up. Our favorite memory from the trip was that a dog followed us up and back the entire time. At one point on the trail, we were all getting a whiff of something gross. At first, we tried to blame the smell on Eddie, Kelvin or Bryan, but it turned out it was the dog. Unfortunately, the kids loved him despite the stink, so he is part of all of our pics.

Another highlight was eating lunch at Diana's work and meeting her boyfriend, Adam, who was an instant hit with my girls. Diana is still trying to recover her footing with my kiddos by sending "hello kitty" paraphernalia :)
