The Big Race
I'm not sure exactly how it all started. We were in St. George stopping for a day on our drive home from Provo to St. George and we had been enjoying a lot of Olympics on TV. Diana and her college friends stopped through on their way to a Vegas concert when one of the boys got to wondering how fast he would have to run the 400 meter race with 3 Olympian runners on his 4x4 team to beat his high school team's time. We determined that he would have to run it in less than 60 seconds...and that's when the trash talk started. So in the middle of a hot St. George day, we headed over to Dixie High for the guys to race a 400 meter run and the girls to run a !00 meter (we aren't as crazy, it was at least 110 degrees that day!) We discovered that Stephen is super fast and crossed the line first, and Dad came in a surprising second place. Unfortunately, 11 years of difference has slowed me down a lot and Jennie beat me in the 100 meters. :( All in all, a great way to bring the Olympics to life for everyone!
