Ella and Kayla have made a summer goal to complete a 5-mile hike this summer. So, with all of Stephen's scouting background, on Memorial Day he started them out with a 2-mile check-out hike around Grapevine Lake to assess their abilities and prepare them for farther distances. There was a little bit of whining. But, with a nice break for lunch, the girls came home happy. I call that a success.
