We started potty training over the holiday break. I start by putting my kids in dresses and nothing else--easy access is the goal! We also have a large stash of m&ms available for rewards. Day 1: she did NOT go potty all day until I put her in the tub. Then she let loose. Day 2: I said: "Do you want a candy cane?" She said, Yes." I said: "Well then, you'll have to go on the potty first." And she did! She went on the potty twice successfully that day. Day 3: She finally realized that she could sit on the big potty without falling in. That was a victory. Day 4: She made it to the bathroom, but not to the potty three times. Day 5: I asked her to try going potty and she just said, "NO!"
If this is a game, I'm pretty sure I'm losing. I may have to take a little break and come back to it next week. Sigh!!!
