Ella specifically requested the brown horse, and received it.
Kayla did not request a color, so she received a white horse.
When Kayla opened her horse, she said: "This is the most beautiful horse I have ever seen."
Ella made a face.
Later, I found white horse hair in the garbage can upstairs and an incriminating pair of scissors near Ella's bed. The horses tail was no longer one length. It was shorter and jagged.
I didn't ask Ella "if" she cut the horses' hair, I asked her WHY?
Her response: I wanted Kayla's tail to be the same length as mine, but I "accidentally" cut it too short.
I threatened to let Kayla cut her horses' hair.
Ella cried.
I retracted my threat and told her she would have to provide restitution to Kayla.
She made her bed for a week.
Kayla was happy and she still thinks her horse is the prettiest.
