My Ella

As I watched Ella help me load groceries from the cart to the car, I realized how much she has changed in the last few months. She has become much more helpful, rational (sometimes) and intuitive of other's feelings. I feel blessed every day to be her mom--she is always coming up with the most wonderful ideas. For example, I spent the weekend (solo) at my brother's new home in Houston trying to help them get the house painted and in order. I had a great trip until I tried to leave and I got stuck in the worst traffic on the 45--6 car pile-up in a construction zone with two stalled cars in other lanes. It took me 20 minutes to drive 2.5 miles. With nothing to do and nowhere to go, I called home to inform them of my situation. As I told Ella what was going on, she said, "Wait, Mommy, I have an idea. Why don't you just honk your horn and then all the other cars will disappear?" Thanks Ella, for always thinking problems through so well!! Here is Ella at her 3-year-old photo shoot.

Cute pictures, Ella! It is so great that you are able to solve your mommy's problems so easily. If only everything were that simple!

What sweet pictures and a sweet post. It is so fun to see the changes, physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually in our little ones as they grow up. Ella's pink boots are great!

How do you get her to sit so calmly, smile so pretty and take great photos?? I can't get my boys to do any of those things, not even for a photographer!!

She is too cute in her little boots! That reminds me of me at that age, except it was red boots and I had a matching red hat!
