Da-da

It's official. Kayla said her first word. And after all the time I spend with her, feeding her, changing her diapers and cleaning her, her first word was da-da. And there you have it!

She turned ten months yesterday and she is also finally getting up on her knees and rocking back and forth...crawling is just days away (I think that is a yah and a boo at the same time!).

i can't believe kayla is 10 months old. that is really crazy. she looks so cute in your picture. why do they always say dada first, it is so sad, but very cute.

I guess she felt like she had to make Stephen feel good some how, since she is sctually quite a mama's girl! :)

Katie's first word was dada, too! Mama was just a couple days later, though :) And since then Anna will only call me mama like Katie and she follows me around all day like a broken record, "mama, mama, mama, mama, mama..." and when I finally respond she's usually forgotten (if there was one in the first place) the reason she started yelling at me. Oh my goodness. And when did our babies get so old? Kayla is definitely a cutie!

She is so cute! I'm sure "mama" isn't too far away. I'm sure Stephen was just lovin' that.

K I was totaly bummed when my Ella said "dada" first...but then I read that the word "dada" is way easier to say than "Mama" and that's why so many kids say that word first....:) just be sure and remind your hubby of that every time he rubs it in (like mine did) :P.

Yay for crawling...I think?!! It's a whole new ball game once they can move to the toys of the bigger sister!! :)

Owen's doing the DaDa bit too. You should let everyone know that the only reason DaDa comes first is because no ones with your kids talking about Mommy all day the way we do about Daddy. So if it weren't for us their first words could have possibly been 'gimme'.
