To Wear or Not to Wear a Headband
My sister (DIANA) accused me of allowing Ella's hair to be very "sketchy" in all of her pictures. She may be right, but in my defense, Ella's hair is very fine, thin and partly curly. I don't know what to do with it. (I'm still just learning what to do with my hair!) Just sitting in her car seat causes a huge crow's nest with her hair. Anyway, I decided to try a headband on Sunday and wondered what everyone thought. Does it make her face look overly round?

i think she looks totally adorable. i love headbands. lily's hair was fine and partly curly as well and a mullet if i am being completely honest. it's only been since i cut it off that it looks good, however, it took a LONG time for me to be ready to cut it off. by the way, i think her hair looks great in your pics.
She looks totally cute in the headband. I just can't believe you got her to keep it on...Ella..my ella rips it off the minute I'm out of sight! Ella's hair is long and curly and I COULD do a lot with it I think, however, I soooo don't know how to do little girl hair! I even did a search for a book that shows how to do different things with hair..and the only book I kept running into was one on how to do African American girls hair...go figure! I think it's hillarious that your sister says her hair looked "sketchy"...what does that mean?! HA! I just bought off ebay that topsy tail thingy..you know the one from the 80's what pulls your hair through and makes it look cute..yes..it even came with the flip chart book...maybe you could get that...since you have 2 girls it'll be an investment. Both my girls get their hair done with it now! K, soo done with this comment (i'm way too talkative today sheesh!).

Gotta love sisters ;) First of all, Ella's pose in this picture is darling! And I'm loving headbands these days. Totally reminds me of the good old days in elementary school ;) Anna was wearing one on sunday, but it didn't last through nursery (surprise, surprise). I think it's cute, but I have no idea what your sister's opinion would be! ;)
WOW! She looks older...like 16 years old!! ha ha. I like her hair either way! That made me laugh to hear Diana said it was "sketchy".
I love Ella's hair. It's so sweet and young. The headband looks great though. But it makes her look like a first grader and that makes me a little sad. They grow so fast. (I hated that phrase when I was a kid. Not sure how many times I've said it since having babes.)
Without the headband, have you tried conditioner? Sometimes Lex's hair gets snarly. If I've been using conditioner it tends to tangle less. I just use our stuff and don't put it on her roots. They do make kids stuff though, and leave in foam stuff.
