We arrived home from the hospital on May 5th, just one day before Ella’s 8th birthday. Luckily, that was enough time to get ready for Ella’s big day on May 6th. She was very happy that she did not have to share her birthday with the baby. I have been having such a wonderful week reminiscing about Ella’s entry into the world eight years ago. From a beautiful, albeit ornery baby, she has grown into a responsible, eager, creative individual with a zest for life! She has been particularly eager for this birthday because it is her baptism year. Now that the cake is eaten and the presents unwrapped, the countdown has begun for the big baptism day!
