Kayla is nearly done with kindergarten! To celebrate a wonderful year, her fabulous teacher, Mrs. Redden invited all of the parents to an appreciation program. The kids sang, danced, recited poems and showcased some fabulous artwork, all as a thank you to their parents. I’m not sure if it was the hormones from having a baby three weeks ago or what, but I found myself tearing up several times throughout. Kayla has come such a long way in the span of a year. On one of her writing assignments she wrote: (spelling corrected) ''I love my dad because sometimes he picks us up from school and goes to the donut store.'' Just a few months ago, we struggled to write one or two words on the paper and now we are completing sentences! Hoorah for Kayla! On to first grade! Check out some of her best work below.
