We are the proud owners of a minivan! After 3 kids and nearly ten years of marriage, we finally took the plunge and are now a two-car family. The kids are just thrilled. Dessie can now see what is going on out the window and spends her time waving at all of the people and doggies. Ella loves to adjust her seat to the sleeping position. Kayla loves to hide her candy in her own compartment. All three kids fight over the automatic door buttons so much that I had to switch them to manual.
I love being able to get where I need to be without advanced planning. I love being able to offer rides. I love being able to do my shopping on more than just one day. It's true freedom. It reminds me of the saying:
“There, there, little luxury, don’t you cry. You’ll be a necessity by and by.”
I guess we are now a 2-car family and we're not looking back :)
