First of all, congratulations are in order to my father-in-law for winning the "weight guessing game" on our move. He was right on the nose with 15,200 pounds. Congratulations Keith and your Target card is on the way!
Secondly, I apologize to all of you bloggers who have continually been checking my blog for an updated post. Let's just say the mess surrounding me was too unnerving to sit down and blog. (Plus, the fact that I don't even have my own internet connection and am borrowing the neighbor's wireless slowed me down some.) Luckily, the mess is almost completely gone and order is beginning to reign in my house.
Well, moving from California to Texas I realized is an even bigger move than I thought. Take for instance some of my observations on this new environment...
1. Bush is well-liked here.
2. Football reigns supreme.
3. My hair will not tolerate the humidity if I straighten it, so it is back to curly hair for me.
4. Neighbors are neighborly.
5. "Organic" is not a religion.
Anyway, I have tons more, but for now that will do. I have pictures forthcoming so you can now start checking up on the blog and you shouldn't be surprised to see more regular updates.
PS- Favorite Texas moment: Using the washer and dryer in my own home without a laundry card!

Yay! I was excited to see a new post. I'm glad to hear that you are getting settled in and I was cracking up at your observations. Yup, very different from California. I hear a little girl squealing in the hallway every once in awhile, and it makes me think of Ella. We still miss you guys!

Oh I am so glad you are back! I had to use some random wireless connection at first that was very slow and frustrating. I can't wait to hear more about you big move and see pics of the new house and I have been missing your girls cute faces.
Lauren!!! I had to do a double-take when your blog popped up and the picture of your house was gone :) Yay!!! It's so good to hear that Texas is fabulous! Your observations crack me up and they sound so nice! Can't wait to hear more about how life is down south. WE MISS YOU!!!
Glad that you're back....I was keeping my fingers crossed and today didn't disappoint...THE Office is on tonight and Lauren has a new blog post...what could be better??!! :)
