I discovered something new about Dessie this month--snow scares her!! She would not allow me to put her down without throwing a huge fit!! Luckily, she had plenty of snow practice in February to help change her opinion. This last weekend, the weather was sunny and a pleasant 70 degrees, barely a hint of the five snow days that we got off from school earlier this month. When it snows in Texas, everything shuts down. They just don't have the roads or the resources to deal with the icy conditions. So the girls and I hunkered down and enjoyed some free time. I tried to use the time to do some deep cleaning. I started out by carpet cleaning all of the upholstery. But, the next day as I was cleaning my kitchen shelves out, Dessie had found the butter and cinnamon and apparently thought my couch cushion was a piece of bread, because she was dousing it in a whole cube of butter and the entire jar of cinnamon and sugar. Let's just say I was grateful when the snow softened up enough for us to enjoy a little outside time. Check out the girl's snowgirl--unfortunately she only enjoyed a few hours before losing her head in the sun! I love Kayla's face in that picture.

Oh my word!!! That cinnamon sugar story is awesome! At least you weren't "bored" that day! Dessie just wanted to make sure you had enough to do! :)
