Families Are Eternal

One of the distinguishing beliefs of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is its belief in the eternal nature of the family. In the temple, we are married and sealed together not just for this life, but for all eternity. It is such a wonderful concept. If you want to learn more, please check out this link here

Two years ago, CJ left on his mission and just a week later, my mom welcomed a new brother into our home through adoption. Kelvin is a child from Mozambique and we had been working on his adoption for five and a half years. Just this last week, after CJ arrived home, the entire family was present to attend the temple and witness Kelvin's sealing to my parents.

It was one of the more tender moments of my life. I had the privilege of putting together the scrapbooks of Kelvin's adoption process and I know from my mom's writings during the time what a difficult and trying experience it was for her. So to see it all come to such a wonderful conclusion was amazing. I was touched by the evidence of my mom's feelings and the reminder that "a mother's love has no bounds."

Welcome to the family Kelvin!!
