State Fair

It's been years since I've attended a state fair, but it happened to be running while my family was visiting, so we decided to make a trip. Ella's highlight was clearly the one ride she went on...had to limit rides because they were ridiculously priced (what is the deal with fairs that way!!). But, they did have plenty of free things to do and see. I particularly enjoyed the exotic petting zoo and the dog show. My mom oohed and aahed her way through all of the beautiful quilts in the arts and crafts area and the kids loved the free ice cream cones.

We didn't make it this year but have loved going in the past. The petting zoo is great!

Sounds like a great day. Where did you score the free ice cream cones? Never heard about that in all our years going. I agree that the rides are so overpriced.

Hope you're enjoying your Sunday!
