Happy Birthday Kayla!

My baby is 2 years old today. Wow.

She was the lucky recipient of many gifts and lots of extra attention because we had both sides of our family come in town (more posts on this later). I love October birthdays because it is so easy to have a themed party. We had everyone join us on a trip to our local pumpkin patch, where we picked out pumpkins to enter into the first ever Texas Reber's Pumpkin Carving Contest. (Since both grandmas were judges and Ella was a contestant, I like to think that the competition was a little rigged in her favor.)

This caption should read, "Finally, a crown and a wand of my very own!!" (Poor Kayla is never given the best of the princess costume box, so we made sure to provide her with some of her very own dress-up materials.)

They just grow up so fast, don't you think!!

Happy Birthday miss Kayla!!! We only wish we could have been there to join in the celebrations! So fun that you could have so much of your family there, I bet it was absolutely perfect :) I also love that you had your pumpkin carving contest, that is one of my favorite things that you guys do, probably because you are so competitive about it, haha! I love it :)
