Nineteen 12x12 Scrapbook Albums--$171.00
760 12x12 sheet protectors--$84.00
96 acid-free gluesticks--$25.00
5,760 4x6 prints--$460.80
Finally getting caught up with all of my scrapbooking (and BTB--"before the baby")--PRICELESS!!
There are a few people and objects I would like to thank that made this whole project possible.
1. My husband who did not lay on the guilt trip after I spent nearly every night over a two-month period locked away in my "den." (Note that my scrapbook den is the garage.)

2. My mother who instilled in me the importance of record-keeping. Note the number of books on this shelf--titled, "Lauren's Life--the coming-of-age years."

3. All of the people who helped me start a blog so that I could more carefully keep track of events. I'd also like to give myself a pat on the back for writing in my girl's journals every month so that I haven't forgotten all of the little details of their childhood.

4. I'd like to thank the brilliant scrapbook company who came up with 12x12 sheet protectors that allow you to simply insert your 4x6 pictures in the pockets. Because of this, I was able to scrapbook half of my books and the other half (especially when there were just too many cute pictures of one event) is very simply placed in these awesome devices. See some shots below of how this worked.

5. Finally, I'd like to thank the wiggle racers which provided my kids with endless hours of entertainment while I trudged along. You can see them racing in the garage--sorry it's so dark--in the video below. By the way, these toys are a huge hit with every kid we've had over--and I've seen them at Walmart and Target!!

Here's to going digital in 2009!!

Lauren! I am seriously impressed. What a woman you are! You are probably one out of a handful of women IN THE WORLD who is caught up on their books. Way to go! Now, can I just send my things to you?....
Wow. That is amazing: what a great feeling to have it done.
Wow!! That is so impressive and would explain the lack of blog posts :) I just decided to get started working on Ella's baby book the other day and printed some of the millions of digitals that I don't have printed. It's a big job, but why am I tell you that; I think you probably figured that out on your own.
Wow! I'm super impressed! I wish I could get into scrapbooking...that is why blogging is so wonderful for me...because I can just have it put into a book. I so wish I would have kept up with a journal for each of my girls. There are so many fun things to remember and you forget before you know it!
Way to go! You truly are inspiring!
Pretty darn awesome!
Wow!!! That is a lot of work! I can't believe you got all of that done. My poor Katie still doesn't have her baby book finished since my computer died 2 months before our little guy was born. Could not have been worse timing... maybe going digital isn't the best thing! ;) I am so impressed with all that you got done, and how good you are at keeping a record of everything. You are amazing! And I am so, so excited to see what this next little girl will be like, it's so soon! Are you so excited? I'll try and call you before you have her!!!
Wow Lauren! I'm sooo very impressed. Way to go!
My kids have had wiggle racers for a couple of years. They love them. So fun...for adults too!! Yep, ridden them a few times with the neighbors whose kids also have them.
