My New Bro

This is a picture of Kelvin (on the left) the year that my mom first met him (six years ago) with his best friend Alfonso (right). And then, through several small miracles, here are the two of them six years later, now both living in Arizona.

Kelvin gave his first talk in church this past Sunday. It was so sweet I thought I would include it on my blog:

"Hi, my name is Kelvin Lewis. I was born is Mozambique which is a country in Africa. Our Primary theme this month is:

"I can pray to Heavenly Father, and He will hear and answer my prayers."

Six years ago, I was living in an orphanage. Every day I prayed to have a mom and a dad.Through many miracles, I was able to join my new family on July 20, 2008. I now have a mom and a Dad who love me very much and I love them.

I know that the scripture in Mark chapter 11 verse 24 is true:

"What things ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them,
ye shall have them."

I am grateful that my prayers were answered. I know that Heavenly Father loves me and that he loves you too. I have a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that President Monson is a prophet and that Jesus is my Savior. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen."
